Event Description:

HackXelerate’25 is a high-energy 24-hour hackathon bringing together the brightest minds to tackle real-world challenges with innovative tech solutions. Hosted by the Computer Science & Business Systems Department, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, it offers a platform for collaboration, mentorship, and cutting-edge problem-solving. With exciting prizes, expert workshops, and networking opportunities, this hackathon is the perfect stage to showcase creativity and technical prowess. Get ready to Hack. Innovate. Accelerate!

Objectives:

HackXelerate’25 is dedicated to driving social innovation and creating a lasting impact through technology. Participants will address real-world challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), developing solutions that empower communities, promote sustainability, and drive positive change. Whether enhancing existing systems or pioneering groundbreaking initiatives, this is where innovation meets impact!

Theme:

Open Domain – Social Innovation 

Yes, you heard it right… NO boring predefined problem statements! You get to choose your own challenge, but there’s a catch—your idea must actually make the world a better place. 

Think big, innovate smart, and make sure your project aligns with at least one UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). No pressure… just the fate of the planet in your hands. 

 

Submission Guidelines & Deadlines:

  • Registration Timeline:
    • Round 1(Online): 
      • Start Date: 21th February, 2025
      • End Date: 25th March, 2025
    • Shortlisted Notification:
      • 28th March, 2025
      • Participants shortlisted for the second round are required to pay ₹500 each.
      • This fee will include 2 Special lunches, Gala Dinner night pass, Breakfast,  refreshments throughout the hackathon, Branded Goodies, Swags, Brand Merchandise, Sustainable bags and T-Shirts will be provided to every participant.
  • Submission Guidelines:
    • Submission must adhere to the given abstract template
    • The file must be in PDF format with a File Size < 2MB
    • Abstracts will not be accepted after the deadline

Finale: Teams shortlisted for the final round will attend the 24-hour Hackathon (OFFLINE) at KPR Institute of Engineering & Technology, Coimbatore.
